I offer TWO types of lessons -
weekly online sessions
OR
a personalized video exchange
Traditionally, piano lessons are a weekly event, on a set day & time that will work for your schedule.
I offer 45-minute lessons which allow time for work on piano technique, music theory, and (of course) pieces of music that you're interested in learning. You may also be interested in basic improvisation, chords, arranging, and learning to accompany yourself on the piano as you sing!
Because these are online lessons, you'll appreciate:
Let's start with a free online consultation.
You'll share your piano dreams ... and I'll share a path that we can use to make them come true.
(and if you don't think you don't have time for weekly lessons? Read below about personalized videos...)

Because these are online lessons, you'll appreciate:
- no time lost commuting to and from my studio
- working with your own piano or keyboard during the lesson, so I can make any necessary adaptations
- the comfort of being in your own home
- the ability to take a lesson from anywhere that you have access to a piano/keyboard and internet service
- access to a large library of studio licensed music, at no additional charge to you

Personalized videos for self-paced learning

Video lessons? Would this style of learning work for you?
These lessons would be ideal for you if...
- you have a work or school schedule that changes a lot
- you don't like working 'in front' of a teacher
- you really like working late at night or super early in the morning
- you love being able to watch a video several times, pausing/rewinding as needed
- you are in a very different time zone from me
- your WiFi or internet is not reliable
We begin with a 'live' online lesson, in which I'll get you started with some assignments that
will improve your technique at the piano, and determine the starting point for your journey in reading music and playing the piano.
The details of this assignment will go into an app that you'll use for reference in your home practice.
When you're ready, you'll record some videos (you can simply use your cell phone for this).
You'll upload them to that same app (easy!), and I'll review them and send you videos that will detail the next steps you should take.
We continue this video exchange, and you'll also have the option to schedule one 20-minute, 'live online' session with me, each month.
Why would you wait any longer?
Let's get started on our journey - I'm right here with you!

I am a registered teacher with the MusicLink Foundation.
The MusicLink Foundation is a non-profit organization that links promising students in need with professional music teachers who volunteer to teach on partial to full scholarship for as long as these students wish to learn.
The MusicLink Foundation assists in the purchase and repair of instruments, moving costs for donated pianos, camp scholarships for our students, and coordination and expansion of programs into new communities across the country. Foundation funding relies on contributions from the public, in-kind instrument donations from business partners and grants.
The MusicLink Foundation has served over 7,000 students in 50 states and 5 Canadian provinces with teachers donating over 514,000 hours of instruction, equivalent to over $14 million of in-kind service to the program.
